Sofie Gielis holds a PhD in contemporary Dutch prose and narratology. Her research interests include narrativity, imagery and cross-medial narratology.
She is also a member of the editorial staff of the cultural-literary journal DWB and works as a literary critic, mainly for the newspaper De Standaard.
