These/her works all show a sort of humanity. Ellen Vrijsen loves storytelling, you’ll meet her characters in different situations. Her stories grow in the magic and sometimes fantastic emotional atmosphere. A life full of reflections and wondering, emotions and thoughts, that are sometimes autobiographical. The images are put together with a diversity of possibilities, like life itself. What the story means is not always clear, people generate their own story while taking the image in. Vrijsen is not looking for a truth, it’s more about looking for another world, to question ours better and maybe understand it better.
